چکیده

From a dynamical point of view applied to complex polynomials, we study a number of root–finding iterative methods. We consider Newton’s method, Newton’s method for multiple roots, Jarratt’s method, the super–Halley method, the convex as well as the double convex acceleration of Whittaker’s method, the methods of Chebyshev, Stirling, and Steffensen, among others. Since all of the iterative root–finding methods we study satisfy the Scaling Theorem, except for Stirling’s method and that of Steffensen, we obtain their conjugacy classes.

Dynamical ‎C‎ontrol of Computations Using the Family of Optimal Two-point Methods to Solve Nonlinear ‎Equations

One of the considerable discussions for solving the nonlinear equations is to find the optimal iteration, and to use a proper termination criterion which is able to obtain a high accuracy for the numerical solution. In this paper, for a certain class of the family of optimal two-point methods, we propose a new scheme based on the stochastic arithmetic to find the optimal number of iterations in...

THIRD-ORDER AND FOURTH-ORDER ITERATIVE METHODS FREE FROM SECOND DERIVATIVE FOR FINDING MULTIPLE ROOTS OF NONLINEAR EQUATIONS

In this paper, we present two new families of third-order and fourth-order methods for finding multiple roots of nonlinear equations. Each of them requires one evaluation of the function and two of its first derivative per iteration. Several numerical examples are given to illustrate the performance of the presented methods.

Generalized iterative methods for solving double saddle point problem

In this paper, we develop some stationary iterative schemes in block forms for solving double saddle point problem. To this end, we first generalize the Jacobi iterative method and study its convergence under certain condition. Moreover, using a relaxation parameter, the weighted version  of the Jacobi method together with its convergence analysis are considered. Furthermore, we extend a method...

A Three-Point Iterative Method for Solving Nonlinear Equations with High Efficiency Index

In this paper, we proposed a three-point iterative method for finding the simple roots of non- linear equations via mid-point and interpolation approach. The method requires one evaluation of the derivative and three(3) functions evaluation with efficiency index of 81/4 ≈ 1.682. Numerical results reported here, between the proposed method with some other existing methods shows that our method i...
